Case Study
A strategic look at how we tackled the technical and business objectives of this assignment.
The Challenge
Access to reliable disaster information is often fragmented across multiple platforms, making it difficult for users to stay updated and prepared. Many people lack clear guidance on how to respond to disasters or where to report emergencies in real time. The challenge was to centralize critical disaster-related information into one accessible and intuitive platform.
The Solution
Disaster Defenders was built as a centralized dashboard that combines real-time weather data, disaster alerts, preparedness resources, and emergency reporting features. Interactive maps and visual weather summaries were implemented to improve clarity, while structured preparedness and recovery content helps users take the right actions before, during, and after disasters.
The Results
The final application delivers a practical disaster awareness and preparedness tool that is easy to navigate and visually clear. Users can quickly check weather conditions, receive alerts, learn how to prepare, and report emergencies, making Disaster Defenders a useful platform for both individuals and communities.
