The Challenge
NexStage Entertainment previously relied on manual booking processes and fragmented platforms for social media promotion and sales. This fragmentation made it difficult for the team to manage high-volume ticket requests during major show cycles or to maintain a consistent digital archive of their work. The objective was to replace these disconnected methods with a single, professional platform that could scale with their audience and simplify daily administrative tasks.
The Solution
The solution involved building a robust platform that facilitates every aspect of theatre management, from initial show announcements to ticket verification. I developed a custom administrative portal that empowers the production team to manage event details, media assets, and cast profiles independently. To ensure a seamless user journey, the platform integrates a real-time booking engine and a local mobile payment gateway, providing a reliable environment for both the staff and the theatre-goers.
The Results
The implementation of the platform transformed how Heartstrings manages its backstage operations and interacts with its fans. By centralizing show data and automating the booking flow, the company significantly reduced manual errors and improved the speed of launching new projects. The site now serves as a high-performance foundation that is ready to support upcoming initiatives, such as global show streaming, while maintaining its core mission of modernizing Kenyan theatre.
